NOTICE ON ISSUANCE OF A TYPE OF POLYMER CURRENCY WITH THE DENOMINATION OF DONG 100,000 INTO CIRCULATION
With the view to implementing the Decision No. 841/QD-TTg dated 5 August, 2004 of the Prime Minister, from 1 September, 2004, the State Bank shall put into circulation a new currency with the denomination of Dong 100,000 which is printed on the polymer paper.
The polymer currency with the denomination of Dong 100,00 shall contain following main characteristics:
- Size: 144mm x 65mm
- Printing paper is polymer paper
- Color: In general terms, its decorating designs and contents in its front and back are in green
- Front's content: include the line "Socialist Republic of Vietnam", State Emblem, picture of Ho Chi Minh president, Dong 100,000 in numbers and in words, decorating picture with national designs and modern net ones.

The current VND 100,000 made of cotton paper shall still preserve its equivalent circulation value.
The State Bank would like to inform agencies, units, socio-economic organizations, domestic and foreign individuals for their knowledge and usage.
