PROMULGATING THE LIST OF FERTILIZERS SUBJECT TO QUALITY STANDARD ANNOUNCEMENT

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to the Ordinance on Goods Quality of December 24, 1999;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 73/CP of November 1, 1995 on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational apparatus of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 86/CP of December 8, 1995 prescribing the assignment of responsibilities of State management over goods quality and Joint Circular No. 1537/KCM-NN-PTNT of July 17, 1996 guiding the implementation of Decree No. 86/CP;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 86/2002/ND-CP of November 5, 2002 defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structures of the ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
At the proposals of the director of the Department for Agricultural and Forestry Promotion and the director of the Department for Sciences, Technologies and Product Quality,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To promulgate together with this Decision the list of fertilizers subject to quality standard announcement.

Article 2.- In each period, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall adjust the above-said list in order to meet the production/business requirements.

Article 3.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

LIST OF FERTILIZERS SUBJECT TO QUALITY STANDARD ANNOUNCEMENT

I. MONO MINERAL FERTILIZER

1. Nitrogenous fertilizer

Ammonium nitrate [NH4NO3];

Calcium nitrate [Ca(NO3)2];

Ammonium sulfate [(NH4)2SO4];

Urea [CO(NH2)2].

2. Phosphate fertilizer

Calcined phosphate fertilizer (or Thermophosphate; Calcium Magnesium phosphate fertilizer);

Mono-superphosphate (or Mono-calcium phosphate; SSP);

Compound superphosphate (or TSP; CSP).

3. Potassium fertilizer

Potassium chloride [KCl] (or MOP);

Potassium sulfate [K2SO4] (or SOP).

Mono-ammonium phosphate [NH4H2PO4] (or MAP);

Diamond phosphate [(NH4)2HPO4] (or DAP);

Potassium nitrate [KNO3].

2. Mixed mineral fertilizer

Mixed mineral fertilizers of various types (NPK fertilizer).

III. MEDIUM-CONTENT AND MODICUM FERTILIZER

Medium-content and modicum fertilizers of various types and mixtures thereof.

IV. MICROORGANISM FERTILIZER

2. Microorganism fertilizer disintegrating insoluble phosphates.

V. MICRO-BIOLOGICAL ORGANIC FERTILIZER

Organic fertilizers of various types containing useful microorganisms with a density suitable to the promulgated standards.

VI. BIOLOGICAL ORGANIC FERTILIZER

Fertilizers of various types made of organic raw materials through the impacts of microorganisms or other biological agents.

VII. MINERAL ORGANIC FERTILIZER

Fertilizers of various types made of organic raw materials mixed with one or several nutritive elements, including at least one multi-content nutritive element.

VIII. LEAF FERTILIZER

Fertilizers of various types used for watering or spraying directly leaves or stems for supplying nutrients to plants.

Fertilizers of various types, added with growth regulators, which are permitted for use in Vietnam, with suitable contents as prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
